Beverley Minster: A Cascade of Churches was published this week through the "Resources for Churches Grant Scheme" administered by the East Yorkshire Historic Churches Trust.

Beverley MinsterThe leaflet, part financed by the Langeled Rural Development Fund and LEADER+, follows the format of other highly successful Cascade publications, which encourage visitors to seek out and explore the region's churches by directing them from a 'Cascade' church (in this case Beverley Minster) which is typically the grandest and most visited in the area, to 'stream' churches, which are less well known but still worth a visit and finally to 'pool' churches, which are of local interest and may only be accessible by a key holder.

The other churches featured in the leaflet are Beverley: St Mary, Beverley: St Nicholas, Bishop Burton: All Saints, Cherry Burton: St Michael, Etton: St Mary, North Newbald: St Nicholas, Rowley: St Peter, Routh: All Hallows, Scorborough: St Leonard, South Dalton: St Mary and Walkington: All Hallows.

The free leaflet is available from churches and tourist information centres across the East Riding, or by contacting Emily Keane. Her details are available by clicking 'Contact Us' at the top of this page.
