A new funding stream is available.

You may wish to have a look at http://www.wren.org.uk/WRG-challenge for details of a new funding stream. Please note that it is part of WREN so you can only access this funding if you are within 10 miles of a WREN landfill site but this does apply to several of our member churches and could apply to you!

WRG communities challenge logoBuilding on the success of last years Village Hall and Community Centre Challenge, which encouraged a large response across the United Kingdom, the scope of this year's WRG Communities Challenge has widened to enable more community projects to apply. Applicants are being encouraged to consider what would improve the community they live in and can apply for projects ranging from children's play areas, skate parks and community buildings to nature reserves, sensory gardens and public parks. This includes churches and church buildings and may provide the answers your church has been looking for!

This exciting and innovative Challenge aims to breathe life into tired or rundown facilities or provide much wanted new amenities and with a prize fund of £1 million organisations are invited to bid for between £75,000 and £250,000 for capital projects which will make a real difference to their community.

This new community focused Challenge will see WREN working with Local Authorities who will help promote the Challenge and participate in judging the entries in each of WRG's operating areas.
